Terms of Reference
Facilitators of “Climate Dialogues”
CAN EECCA is relaunching “Climate Dialogues” — a format of thematic working groups that will work on their topics throughout the year: exchanging experience, building ties between organizations across the region, and bringing their topics to the international level. We are looking for facilitators — one per working group — who will support this process over the course of the year.
Working Group Topics:
- Climate Justice
- Convention Synergies
- Decolonization
- Human Rights
Tasks
- Meet regularly with the CAN EECCA secretariat to plan the work of the group
- Facilitate the working group’s meetings/calls (online), including developing the structure and agenda for each meeting (the number of meetings and their necessity is determined within the group)
- Help the group build a year-long work plan and track its implementation
- Use elements that engage participants in discussion — debates, polls, group formats
- Prepare brief reports after meetings/milestones
- Collect feedback from participants and adjust the process as needed
- Support the group in preparing final outputs (articles, position papers, workshops, etc.)
- Participate in CAN International working groups on the relevant topic
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience facilitating a network or cross-country working groups
- Good spoken and written Russian and English
- Understanding of the climate agenda in the EECCA region and expertise in the working group’s topic
Estimated Workload
20 working days over the course of a year (approximately September 2026 – August 2027), distributed unevenly depending on group activity.
