CAN EECCA cordially invite you to our online presentation of two recent studies in Kazakhstan and the Republic of Moldova about structural barriers to NDC implementation and reporting. This webinar is organized by BUND, Friends of the Earth Germany, in close collaboration with CAN EECCA.
The Paris Agreement mandates every country to outline and communicate their post-2020 climate actions, known as Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). Transparency plays a crucial role in successfully implementing the Paris Agreement, as it helps build trust, identifies policy gaps, and updates stakeholders on climate action progress.
In collaboration with CIDSE (Coopération internationale pour le développement et la solidarité), Fastenaktion (Switzerland) and Misereor (Germany), we conducted studies in Kazakhstan, Moldova, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Georgia, Israel, Burkina Faso, and Switzerland to answer the question whether international climate pledges can be traced to local climate action. Through the presentation of these two studies carried out in Kazakhstan and the Republic of Moldova, we want to share and discuss our main findings with you that reveal structural barriers to the implementation of NDCs.
Don’t miss this opportunity to gain valuable insights into the challenges and solutions related to NDC implementation. Presentation will be translated simultaneously from English into Russian.
