CAN EECCA is a network of 60 environmental NGOs from Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia. As a part of the world’s largest international network, Climate Action Network, with over 1500 member organizations worldwide, our mission is to support and develop regional civil society in their ability to influence climate policies.
We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Project Manager to join our international team. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to climate justice in a dynamic and intersectional environment.
The Project Manager position is 80% employment (30 hours per week).
Period: August 2025 to October 2025 (with the contract extension until April 2025 at 50%).
Location: Position is remote, but the candidate should have a taxpayer identification number (INN) in Kyrgyzstan or is ready to obtain it upon arrival in the country.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is passionate about climate justice and civil society development in EECCA region
- Has proven experience in coordination and project management (including community management, documentation and organisation of events)
- Proficient in English and Russian for competent written and verbal communication (other regional languages are a plus)
- Is based in or has strong connection and knowledge of the EECCA region
- Is self-organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fully remote, horizontal team
Key responsibilities of the Project Manager:
The Key skills and responsibility that we are looking for are fundraising (both networking and grant proposal writing experience) as well as project management.
- Project coordination and planning
– Lead planning and implementation of Climate Dialogues and Mini grants programs
– Develop and maintain work plans, communication and timelines in collaboration with team and partners
– Monitor projects’ progress, collect updates, and ensure timely reporting to donors
- Network communication and engagement
– Coordinate communication between member organizations, partners, donors and the secretariat
– Organize regular check-ins and working group calls
– Support outreach and onboarding of new members
– Organize online and offline events for network members and partners.
- Event coordination
– Co-design and facilitate online and offline events, including trainings, strategy sessions, and regional gatherings
– Support logistics and communication for in-person and virtual events
– Collect and analyze feedback to improve events and processes - Content creation and documentation
– Collect, edit, and publish reports on project outcomes
– Support development of reports and visibility materials
